Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and is comfortable working with an older patient population. This role is a key part of our care team, supporting both clinical operations and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during visits
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as needed
- Manage patient flow to ensure efficient and timely visits
- Document in the EMR system accurately and in real-time, including preparing charts
- Coordinate lab work, referrals, and follow-up care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support office operations
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems (specifically eClinicalWorks a plus)
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Confidence in phlebotomy skills preferred
- Experience working with geriatric patients or other challenging phlebotomy cases is a plus

Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
